⭐️10 sets in a row for our Women A team this weekend!!⭐️

Our Women A team played this Sunday against Kalmar and Kungälv. Despite that the 3 teams were on different positions in the temporary ranking (respectively 5th, 2dn and 9th place in "Division 2 Mellersta Södra") they played quite even. And all the 3 matches lasted 5 sets where any of the teams could have won.

Gothia's play in resumé:

All teams played very well in defence. For our lionesses there were multiple long rallies with any kind of situations: deep balls, dropp-saves, blocks followed by block covers, crazy lucky hits💪 Killing spikes and smart placements brought us strong positive emotions multiple times. Gothia was better than both oponents at the net not only in offence but also in blocking🏐

Serve series of upp to 6-8 points in a row, that calmed the tempo of the game at times, were made both from and to us. Unfortunately, our serve mistakes costed us both matches (that we otherwise could have won perhaps even in 4 sets as 3:1).

Must be pointed out that we were very few from the Women A team available to play this day. Some were injured (such an unfortunate year for the whole Gothia Volley club) others were sick. Help ((from our retired for the season Emilia Gryska as well as)) from our Women B team saved the day. Jonna Matthiesen as a middle spiker fought well and showed promising qualities and Caroline Andersson as a left spiker stood up to refresh the team when needed.⭐️
