Recap from Leo, setter:

We faced a strong team, and while we couldn’t quite match their level of play, we put up a good fight.

At the start of each set, we struggled to find our rhythm and fell behind. But as each set progressed, we gained momentum and fought our way back. Unfortunately, the early gaps were just too big to close.

Despite the loss, this was one of our best games mentally. We kept our heads up and until the final point.

Final score: Vindrarp vs. Gothia, 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-19)

Our second away game of the season took place against Jönköping. Unfortunately, we were limited to just eight players this game.

The match was closely contested, but we felt that we didn’t quite perform to our potential. We struggled to control the game, which led to us focusing more on keeping the ball in play rather than creating scoring opportunities. At times, we became too relaxed and missed key chances to make crucial saves in defense.

Final score Gothia, Jönköping: 2-3

Next week, Gothia will face Floby away.

Gothia A - Habo B

We started the first set of great, playing how we want to play, but in the end we couldn’t keep the focus until the end of the set.

Second set was a nail biter reaching the final score of 28-30. Both teams had set points but Habo managed to finish it off.

During the third set the team’s confidence dropped and our ability to score wasn’t there. Towards the end the team did manage to find new energy grabbing a few more points but the gap was too big.

Final score Gothia, Habo: 0-3 (19-25, 28-30, 14-25)

Next week Gothia will go up against Jönköping away      

Habo C - Gothia A

Andra matchen och första matchen på bortaplan för Gothia Herr A. Även denna match var svängig där båda lagen hade starka stunder.

Denna seger var verkligen en lagprestation där hela laget bidrog. Precis som i förra matchen var vi lite ojämna i vår prestation. Vi hade ett riktigt svårt fjärde set som vi förlorade med ganska stora siffror. Trots det lyckades vi samla oss mentalt och hitta tillbaka till vårt spel, vilket ledde till att vi kämpade oss till segern i det avgörande femte setet. Det visar verkligen på lagets starka vilja och förmåga att prestera när det behövs som mest.

Resultat: Gothia 3, Habo 2 (25-20, 17-25, 25-23, 13-25, 15-7)

Nästa helg är det match igen mot Habo B på hemmaplan kl 10:15. Be there or be ◻️

Gothia vinner de två första seten med kontroll över vårt spel, men får det sedan tuffare, RIG lyckas öka servpressen och vinna set 3 och 4. Trots nedgång lyckades laget hitta ny energi i det femte och avgörande setet, vilket ledde till seger.

Daniel Enström, som utsågs till Gothias MVP, kommenterade att laget har en hög högsta nivå. Han beskrev matchen som svängig, där Gothia imponerade med sitt block- och försvarsspel och att laget visade stark mentalitet i det första setet.
