End of season ... with mixed tournament

On Wednesday 24/05, we finished the season 22/23 with our traditional mixed tournament. With 43 participants from across all Gothia teams, we had a great attendance. As before the "bring and share" principle worked well and we had a lot of drinks and food for the time between matches. Thanks to everyone for bringing something.

We played in the same setup as before mixing players by draw into 8 different teams (names inspired by swedish animals). Teams were divided in two groups playing 3 rounds each with a final match to determine the placement.

First time this year, we awarded small prices to the voluntary supporters (refereeing, scoring) of our matches during the season. Three prices were drawn by lot (the more often you helped the more lots are in the pot). Winners were Agnes, Maria and Shirish who helped out 5 matches each. Our top helper of the season - Tryfon got a personalized (signed) beach volleyball. Runners up were Pontus, Thomas and Caro who each received a gift card for the Gothia shop. We live of the help of our members and want to thank everyone who supported during the season and hope to see the same engagement in the next season.

Winning team for this year was team FLADDERMUS followed by team ÄLG and team KANIN on third. Thanks everyone for the active participation, help in setup and for a great season together.

We go into the summer break and will be back towards end of August with updates of starting season 2023/24.
