Gothia Volley is a new volleyball club in Gothenburg that was created by merging Tuve VK and Gothenburg United Volleyball Club. The two teams have quite a different history and profile. Goteborg United, a younger club started in 2011 with a unique history behind it and very high ambitions to build a team to represent Gothenburg in the Swedish Elite Series. On the other hand, we have established Tuve Volleyball Club in 1975 with a long history filled with numerous successes throughout the years which, after some struggles in recent years, emerged as a small volleyball community with an international vibe. Driven by the love of volleyball, the vision of spreading the interest and availability of the sport to everyone, and also ambitions to compete at the highest level we decided to merge our clubs. We will build on complimentary strengths that both clubs represent and work to fulfill our common vision and spread the interest in volleyball and opportunities to play at various levels.
