Dam A vs Alingsås

After a few weeks of hard practice Dam A took off to Alingsås for what could be the most important games this season.

First we went up against Eneryda, at the top of the table. Great volleyball with amazing rallies were played, and fought hard, but in the end Eneryda made more points beating us in both first sets with 17-25 and 15-25. In the third set we fought even harder and managed to break 20 for the first time that day. Unfortunately it wasn't enough and we lost that set as well, 21-25. Laura did an impressive job as the opposite nail throughout the match with great blocks and awesome spikes, and was the game's chosen player. Monika and Valeria had their match debuts, both putting up massive blocks as centers.

We had a short break and then it was time for Alingsås. We started off great, but Alingsås played smart and eventually we lost a few to many points for us to recover, and lost the first set 16-25. The second was over quickly, losing 12-25 without really realizing what had happened. We were able to brush it off, and turned things around to win the third set with 25-20. With set 4, both teams fought harder than ever for that second place in the table, and it was an even set until Alingsås finally pushed through and won 21-25. This was Isidora's last game with us for this season and she really ended up on top, keeping an amazing energy with awesome kills throughout the game and putting Alingsås defense truly to the test. For this she was, of course, our player of the game, and we already can't wait for her to be back!
It was a tough day and while the results may not be quite what we hoped, we played some really good volleyball against two great teams!
