Beating 2nd top of the league!

Tonight, we met the celebrated purple Myggöö side, sitting the 2nd in the table prior to this game. We took a similar approach as in our previous game: grab the ball if we can, and sit low if we cannot. By having 13 players called for the game we have got advantage over Myggöö who came without any subs at all. All started from a free kick (a penalty really, but our favourite referee was as usual making strange decisions, and missed that the foul was inside the box). Saji with a direct strong shot opens the score, 1:0. Then, in a counter-attack, Andres chips to Armin, who finishes with a header, 2:0. After this the opponents started pushing us really hard, and Emin exercised so many “dead” saves that it was hard to count. In one of such attacks, the opponents managed to sneak in the ball in our messy penalty box, full of people that unsuccessfully tried to clear the ball, 2:1. At the end of the game the opponents’ attacks became progressively massive and physical. In an episode one of the opponents went hard for the ball with our defender, and injured his knee very hard. Unfortunately, he had to leave the pitch, and since the opponents had no subs, they had to play one man down for the last 3 minutes. During this time, Saji managed to pass the ball to Chris in a sliding tackle. For some reason, the opponents’ goalie started complaining to the referee about this, so Chris could simply kick the ball into the empty net, 3:1. Great win, very needed 3 points, increased chances to stay in the league. Man of the match: by far, Emin with lots of impressive saves!
