Week 5, loss again

Today, we played against the last year’s champions Mammas Grill. Very technical team with players good at shooting. We took the tactics to press high and take the initiative. This paid off in terms of goal chances that we had, out which we unfortunately realised only 2: Saji’s header after the cross from Ali, and Attila’a direct shot from a corner kick. Many chances were “almost in”, but still somehow saved by the opponent’s defence and goalie. Meanwhile, the opponents utilised every small chance to shoot and were good at it. The lesson learned is the necessity to keep the defensive formation compact when we lose the ball, as opponents managed to stretch us out and make space in the middle (where the majority of goals came from). A positive to take with us and repeat in coming matches is that we were better in keeping the ball and pass it around, going back or switch side when needed. Far from perfect but better then in previous games
