2nd round for Gothia's Men B, one step at a time

Last Sunday, October 15th, the Gothia men's B team took on the challenges presented by Habo D and Göteborg B in the 23/24 season. The weekend may not have ended with the points we desired, but it was filled with valuable experiences.

Yes, Habo D, currently in the second position on the table, proved to be formidable. Our confidence on the court wavered, and we struggled with reception and hitting. The result was a 3-0 victory for Habo D. But let's remember, even in defeat, there are lessons to be learned. We of course are not letting pass the good moments we witnessed, and we bring here nice compliments to our Middle Blocker, Rey, who appeared in some good highlights Gothia had in the first match!

Our second encounter was against Göteborg B. That match started on a better mood. Our hitting improved, and communication was more efficient. The match had its share of ups and downs - the first set mirrored the previous game's struggles (18-25), while the second one showed a resurgence with intention and determination (25-14). Massive presence of Movitz (Outside Hitter), with great kills and good presence on the back of the court. The third set was a bit sluggish, resulting in a 21-25 score. Unfortunately, the last set didn't see us recover our morale, ending in a 3-1 victory for Göteborg B.

These experiences are a reminder of the importance of self-reflection. We need to regain our confidence and focus on our matches. The journey to success involves challenges, and we are determined to reignite our winning spirit.

Don't forget to mark your calendars for our next match on October 21st. We will face the table-toppers, and discipline and focus will be our allies in that contest.
