🦁Men A derby against Göteborg🦁
Hard fought 1-3 loss (22-25, 22-25, 25-22, 19-25) against Göteborgs Volleybollklubb.

Everyone came into the game amped up and ready for what is turning into a classic derby between our two clubs. In the first two sets Göteborg narrowly edged out Gothia with identical scores of 22-25 in both sets. With a team consisting of many new players they lacked some of the heavy hitters from past years but instead played a very tight game with few errors and good use of middle attacks. We struggled a little bit in reception, resulting in a less varied side-out game but still kept set one and two tight and interesting.

In the third set we found our reception and played some great side-out which allowed us to grab an early lead to win the third set 25-22.

In the fourth set both teams came in hot which resulted in some spectacular early rallies, one which lasted for over a minute!

In the end we did not manage to keep up the strong reception and despite our best efforts Göteborg pulled ahead and closed the game at 19-25

All in all a solid effort with some flashes of brilliance. After the game everyone was disappointed but determined to come back stronger.
