Juniors results Västsvenska Serien 2023/2024

Junior team first season in Västsvenska Serien (VSS) 2023/2024. 5th place!!

Summary from the players:  

The 23/24 season started off really rocky with some ups and down, but as the season went on, things started to look a whole lot better. This season was the first time we had ever played VSS and real games which was a huge milestone and a big opportunity for everyone to improve and compete.  

Our first VSS is something we will never forget, even though it didn’t go exactly the way we wanted, it was the first ever tournament we had attended and the feeling of having the opportunity to go up against so many teams felt like a dream come true. The first few tournaments were really nerve wrecking and was kind of like an awakening for us, to have the chance to see what we’re doing wrong and improving that on the trainings helped the team skyrocket. Every single training was an improvement for the team, and every VSS we saw more serve aces, better spikes, bigger blocks and better defense. Everything we practiced on the trainings paid off and the improvement was as clear as day on the tournaments and games.

The spring season went a way we were not expecting. We were now playing other tournaments as well. From placing low and not coming out with as high ranks, we were now almost always at the top and in the finals. We went from being nervous wrecks to winning medals and other teams suddenly seeing us as competition. The bond between the team grew even stronger than before and it felt like as the days flew by, we loved volleyball even more and was even more eager to continue improving and climbing up.  

We thank the club and especially our coaches for making this possible for us and we will try even harder to improve and always come out on top next season.
