Hiking!
Hiking in Sweden is a popular way of exploring the country's open land, beaches, islands, forests, mountains, and national parks. Sweden has nearly 400 hiking trails that are well-marked and offer accommodation options.
The Right of Public Access allows hikers to roam anywhere as long as they respect the environment and the locals.
The weather in Sweden is unpredictable, so hikers should bring suitable clothing, rain gear, and waterproof boots4. The King's Trail is the most famous and longest hiking trail in Sweden, suitable for most skill levels. Other notable trails include the Kebnekaise, the Sörmlandsleden, the Pilgrim Path, the Emigrant Trail, and the Skåneleden.
