Increasingly expensive sports for youth - An RFSISU study
19 dec, 20:36 1 kommentar
Recently, RFSISU published an item in its news section that delves deeper into the increasing costs associated with organised sports and youth involvement. This analysis does not include cricket; however, it gives a good overview of various factors that contribute to the costs and mentions the sports associated with various prevalent sports in Sweden, such as ice hockey, football, handball, and many others.
The costs that could be easily compared are the membership and training fees. The rest, such as transportation, equipment, clothing, etc., are also worth considering.
The attached figure gives a good idea of the different cost headings and where the other sports stand regarding the associated costs for youth participating in the organised activities.
The documents below serve as a good introduction to the Swedish sports clubs and their operations.
