Girls U19 tournament in Malmö - October 5th
5 sep, 17:30 0 kommentarer
G'dday Squad!
SCF is in touch with us on the Girls U19 tournament they are planning to organise in Malmö on the 5th of October . It will be a mixed team where the girls from north and south would belong to a common pool used to make the teams . VCC supports the girls' cricket cause and encourages all the girl U19 members ( this includes the girl U15 members as well) who want to join this journey.
- Tentative Schedule - The plan is to leave Stockholm in the evening on the 4th ( a friday), play games on the 5th ( a Saturday) and be back in Stockholm on the 6th ( a Sunday). This is to minimise the hours of school the players might have to miss.
- Expression of interest - A formal message will soon follow , however they have asked us to indicate the level of interest by tomorrow night . This is to make bookings for the train journeys and lodging in Malmö. Please feel free to discuss this amongst yourselves and get back to me individually if you are interested.
- Eligibility - we do not have any strict guidelines on eligibility so far. However, familiarity with the hardball cricket is considered a must to minimise the risk for injuries. Participation in the league matches is considered as a reflection of the familiarity with hardball cricket. girls in the U15 as well as the U19 groups are welcome to participate. So far, we have no further input on the criteria except for the above.
- Age group - All the girl players under 19 years of age familiar with hardball cricket are welcome.
SCF has been rolling out a lot of initiatives in the recent past and we welcome that as a part of the cricketing community. However, we do not intend to put our youth members under any unnecessary duress as a lot of cricket is being packed into the coming days. We encourage you to participate however we understand if you face difficulties to do so.
