STRONGER TOGETHER  

Next week we will hold an education night for our players. A chance to look back on an amazing and positive season and the moment to start to consider the year and season ahead of us. We are always changing and moving forward positively on the journey that we decided to take 7 years ago.  

To the original group of players and former refugees who started this amazing journey and who are still pushing down barriers today, on and off the field, we owe you a huge debt of gratitude and a massive thanks. Your heart beat is getting louder. You have never once stopped believing.  

To our current squad players who performed heroically last year and before that, we stand by you, we will continue to support you in every way we can, and we thank you for being Cosmos and safe guarding its future. You are strong and will get stronger. To the lads who have contributed in so so many ways in lifting our profile in society and for their heroics on the field in 2023 and in the seasons before, but who are now on their own journey in life away from Cosmos -we thank you. We wish you well and we will never ever forget your contribution. You brought us to this moment. It is on your shoulder that we stand We will follow all your journeys.  

To the new players who will join us over the coming weeks in preparation for season 2024, we will try to offer you the opportunity to be heroes. The opportunity to break down barriers in society, to fight for a more equal and better world and to win division 4.  

To our loyal supporters and members , we ask that you keep believing in what we stand for off the field and that you renew your memberships. Be on the sideline at games, supporting the lads and shouting them on to victory and keep believing that we can be League champions. And, if you are not a member yet but you are reading this, please come on board. Every krona you give goes directly into the heart of Cosmos and helps to make positive change.

Finally, to our corporate sponsors, partners and business donators. For the past years you have ‘saved’ us. You have fuelled the fire of our ambition and vision. You have driven us through the leagues and have been there when we needed you. Yes, we proudly wear your logos and company insignia on our match uniforms and we praise you, all of you, large and small, on our social media pages. But, in reality, you mean much more than that both to Cosmos and to society in general. You have decided to direct some of your company profits and business income streams into Cosmos because you believe in what Cosmos stands for and represents in society. It is a brave and very positive commitment to us and society at large. You are helping make change happen. We thank you. Please keep supporting and believing. Your decisions affect so many people.

Season 2024 is just around the corner. We will try to play attractive, intelligent football, win games and win the league. Our commitment to support the many organisations which we work alongside, will continue and hopefully grow. We will never stop standing up for those who we feel need support. When we say STRONGER TOGETHER, we mean it.   And….there may be really positive news just around the corner…soon. Something truly ‘game changing’ is hopefully close to becoming a reality.   More news on that and other things, shortly.
