Squad depth

Another day another match, on Friday we had a tough encounter versus Järpen away. Just(almost) as we arrived back to Östersund, we had another game upcoming - DM match versus Sveg at Jämtkraft Arena.

Another tough match as Sveg last year, just as Järpen, competed in division 3. So we had to refresh, reshuffle the squad and be fully reloaded for another match.

Sveg had to travel to Östersund due to the pitches not being ready in Sveg, so we were thankful for that and it probably gave us an advantage in terms of us playing on our home soil. Nevertheless, the game started and no excuses matters as soon as the ref blow the whistle - from that moment on it is 11 v 11 and we started first half a bit stressed, but still managed to "manage" the game in a good manner. We also scored 1-0 through Siem and that was the result half time.

Second half we were resilient and determined as we also managed to score two more goals, through Ibra and through Bichara. And we could run out winner with a total of 3-0 and we qualified to next round of DM.

We can´t praise the players enough and the depth of the squad is impressive as we could keep a high standard and keep pushing ourselves in order to improve. 

The performance showed that this squad has an attitude and mentality which is top class, we had players not playing Friday coming in and doing a fantastic job and we had players playing Friday not playing today - fully supporting the team from the side, that is what team is all about. Well done!
