Solklar makes history in Borås

This weekend will go down in history: Solklar was participating at their first ever Swedish Championships!

What a tournament we had! Showing off our new logo and our matching socks. Our players showed clearly that we may be newcomers at the top tier of Swedish Ultimate but we are ready to perform and bring the fight to our opponents.

Coaches message to the participating players following the tournament was clear:

"This was the first championship for Solklar and it was a huge success, all thanks to you wonderful people. You've showed all of Sweden that we belong at this level and and that there will be no easy games against us."

Solklars mixed team is of to a very promising start in this, the clubs very first season. The future looks very bright indeed and coach Holmgrens message for the future is clear:

"I'm really happy with the performance of every one of our players, on and of the field. It's clear to me that the work they put in ahead of the championships paid great dividends during this weekend. Especially our captain Andreas Aldrin and spirit captain Brina Dokl took on their new roles with great poise and responsibility.

I for one hope to be able to continue working with this group in the future. We as a club have laid the groundwork for future success and with the great influx of talent knocking on the door to claiming one of the spots for future tournaments there's no limit to the potential of this team."
