Busy few weeks...

We have a very busy and exciting period of rugby coming up over the next 6 weeks.
Your kids have been handling most of the communication and administration so far this season, and doing a great job of it for the most part.
But with so many important dates on the horizon, it’s maybe time you get an update and keep an eye that they are on top of things.
This includes answering the kallelsar in good time and making sure that let us know if they are going to be late for or miss a session/event.
This week has regular training on Tuesday followed by a swim in Eriksdalsbadet on Thursday.
Then it’s USM time! Our team bus will be shared with U14 and leaves Telefonplan at 15:00 on Friday.
I appreciate many kids will need to skip some classes, so there is no need for a super-early meeting time… just please make sure they are there by 14:50. We will stop for food on the way. (they need money for this) The club has paid for the registration, bus and 1 night’s accommodation. You should have received an invoice for the 2nd night’s accommodation and Saturday Lunch/Dinner and Sunday Lunch. Sunday dinner will be on the way home. (money also required for this) We will stay at the Arena Hotel in Vänersborg, mainly in double rooms that the coaching team will allocate.
Breakfast will be at the hotel. https://www.arenahotell.com/
As always, if you (parents) have any special requests do not hesitate to contact me.
Sunday September 29th
This is an important League Game against Hammarlund.
If we win, we host the Finals at Gubbängen.
If we lose, we most likely will travel to Täby for the Finals.
If (when!) the Final is at Gubbängen, we can run a café to raise money for Ireland.
October 5th
We travel to Borås Saturday afternoon on a team bus for a League game on Sunday We will stay at Solhem Hotel. https://solhempark.se/
The club pays for transport and accommodation. Just money needed for a dinner in the hotel on the Saturday night (approx 160kr) and a meal on the way home.
Parents are welcome to join us on this trip. A small fee will be charged for the bus. Accommodation to be booked yourselves. (there are plenty of rooms left as of today)
October 12th Touch Tournament in Kista
Those that do not play Touch, can help out at another Youth Festival that we will host.
We will need help from P16 parents to bake and run the Cafe & grill.
Any other fundraising ideas welcome, such as a Lottery.
October 19th Finals!
I have provisionally booked Gubbängen for a 14:00 KO, and Erikslund have done the same for Täby.
So we at least now know the final will be on the Saturday!
October 27th… IRELAND!
The Matchday Experience fundraising has gone great and our lads have managed to raise 25,500kr over the 3 events!
15,000kr of this was paid directly from the club (3 x 5000kr) for all the help setting up the pitches and making the food etc.
The other 10,500kr was from sales in the cafes. The club will also sponsor a further 1000kr per player.
Our flights are 2500kr and the accommodation is 1600kr, so this will leave an approximate cost of 2500kr per child, excluding food and spending money. (500kr deposit paid already)
More money can come in from the cafes mentioned above, and we are still open for any other form of sponsorship.
Some tour clothing, such as a polo shirt and hoodie, would look great and be much appreciated, so if you know of any companies that might want to help sponsor these, please do let me know. Any parents still interested in travelling with us can contact me directly for more information.
Thank you all for the support you have given your boys so far on what has been a fantastic season of rugby so far... very soon getting even better!
