Under Stamfordveckan var medföljande Chiara Hu med på F12 träningen på lördagen. Jätteroligt tyckte tjejerna i F12.
Vi gjorde en kort intervju med Chiara som bott med sin bror Nevaeh hos Alexander D´Hondt i team 11 under utbytet.
- Chiara, tell us a Little about you and your background in ice hockey:
I have been playing hockey for around five years now, I started when I was six. I play for the Wonderland Wizards AA team in Connecticut, which is a Co Ed team, although I am currently the only girl on my team.
- How was it to play with F12?
I loved playing with all of the Swedish girls, they were all so, so helpful and welcoming, explaining what the coach was saying and overall, being super helpful! The girls team is definitely very advanced in skills and gameplay, and they work well together.
- How was the difference playing ice hockey in SDE with playing with your team in the US?
Compared to practices here in Sweden and in my hometown of Connecticut, there were definitely some similarities and differences. For the similarities, both practices focused on skill training, and team building. Working on edge work, skating, passing and scrimmage. Differences include full-ice playing and systematic plays, such as breakouts and forechecking/ back-checking.
Good Luck with your hockey Chiara! We hope you see you again on the ice with us! // SDE team F12
