Tomorrow the Orion girls meet the neighbouring team of Örebro for another chance to compete. Obviously the team is aware that the game won't be an easy one to win. But as always, we are going to try our best to do so. The last time we faced Örebro it was in their home gym. This usually comes with an advantage to the home team, and it certainly is true in this case. The Örebro gym is a tricky place to play in with regards to serve and serve receive. With a little bit of luck, were hoping that having the home court advantage will work in our favor this time around. But beyond this small detail, we still need to show up, and play volleyball. The team knows we need to be very strong in our reception. The first time we played Örebro, it was our weakest reception performance to date. So the main focus for tomorrow's game will be to have a strong first contact.
Alongside this first goal, the team will also need to put some pressure on Örebro's reception. Serving tough and not allowing them to have all hitting options available is the second main focus. Concentrating on these two goals, and truly fighting for every ball is absolutely necessary. Even though the team is coming off of a hard loss against Sollentuna Wednesday, it's time to move forward and remember all of the good things we've accomplished to date. We managed to get a set from them once before, and it is possible to do so again. But as always, everyone will need to come together and truly fight with passion and courage. Positive atmosphere

Although today’s game resulted in another loss for the Degerfors girls, the game was still quite positive. The girls came out extremely strong in the first set, with a 7-2 lead. Unfortunately a mistake made by the scorekeepers resulted in an incorrect out of rotation call. After several minutes of trying to fix the mistake, the team unfairly lost possession of the ball and the momentum shifted to Örebro’s favor. The team maintained a tough demeanor throughout the match though, and managed to make some positive plays. With Örebro’s numerous attacking options, they closed out the set.
The team continued to fight despite the strong opponent in front of them, and really came together positively. The entire team helped out over the three sets which was great to have everyone play. Unfortunately too many unforced errors were made which can’t happen against a team of this caliber. Moreover, every player needs to be calling for the ball so that we aren’t so predictable. Utilizing every attacker is imperative, and we need to keep working this part of our game. As always, the loss of our setters greatly impacts the evolution of our progress, as we are starting back from the beginning trying to train a player who isn’t a true setter. Despite this major set back, the team is doing extraordinarily well given the tough position we’ve been put in.
So for now, the team looks forward to our next game against Lindesberg. After quite some time, we finally have a full week of training ahead of ourselves to prepare for this game. The team will work hard on the things we need to ameliorate, and keep trying to get our first win. We thank you as always for your continued support. Tack till alla!!
