Sunday the team travels to Falköpings for the last game of the year.  As always a new opportunity at winning our first game presents itself.  Going into the game believing we will win is not the mindset we need to have.  The mindset needs to be more focused on fighting as hard as we can and truly earning what we all believe we deserve.  

RIG has proven to be a technically sound team with a well rounded squad.  They are young which can work for and against them.  On the positive side - they fight for every ball, never give up on a play, and have good conditioning.  On the other hand - they don’t share the same level of experience, and are still learning.  So a team such as RIG can be very dangerous.  This is where the team needs to expect the unexpected.  

We cannot allow Falköpings any leeway because they will take it.  We need to set the pace of the game and force them to chase us - not the other way around.  This will require some pressure on their reception through strong, error free serving.  The team needs to remain calm, do the job we all have to do, and just play the game.  Everyone would love to go into the Christmas break with a win under our belts.  So the team will take things point by point, and play by play.  

Once again we are down Sofie Fahlin due to illness, so the team will need to work extra hard to compensate for the missing middle blocker.  Taking a set will be the first goal for this game.  Having the confidence from a set win is important for the team.  The second goal will be to remain consistent.  Throughout the first half of season, we have always come out very strong in the first set and then slowly eased off.  The focus and drive must be maintained or intensified from set to set.  Not the other way around.  If we manage to achieve this first two goals, the outcome should be a positive one.
