Christian Nilsson bidrog med 2 assist till Thomas Hannjö

Viby are a step nearer winning the league after a frustrating 5-3 win at Strömsborg. Christian Nilsson set up Thomas Hannjö twice late on to make sure Viby grabbed all three points.

Strömsborg took an early lead following a counterattack down the right with the cross finding an unmarked Strömsborg player who headed home.

Viby dominated the play throughout but found it hard to score with many chances going wide and most often over the bar.

Christopher Yngvesson pounced and hit a long range shot that hit the underside of the bar and bounced over the line according to the ref.

In the second half Viby continued to dominate. Yngvesson scored again and when Stevan Maksimovic made it 3-1 the match was over, or not. Strömsborg bounced back with another counterattack and scored again.

Enter Hannjö and Nilsson. After good work by Christian Nilsson down the right, Thomas Hannjö created some space for himself and put Viby 4-2 up. Match over, or not.

Another counterattack by Strömsborg and another goal after keeper Daniel Starnäs tripped the player up for a penalty that put Strömsborg back in the game at 4-3.

Once again Christian Nilsson did the magic down the right and chipped the ball in to Hannjö who headed home into the empty net from two metres. Game over, yes.

This was a day where things didn't quite work, but we kept calm and won the match. Nico Harrison and Martin Persson dominated the midfield and we created a multitude of chances but on a frustrating afternoon we had to fight to the end.

And in the end, it is the points that matter. Sönnarslöv at home next Sunday and a win will all but seal promotion to division 6.
